Ok healers, I'm thinkin it might be time for us to tighten up our own raiding strategy. So far I think we've been pretty lucky in our catch as catch can healing assignments for raids. We haven't really said "I'm on tanks, you're backup and raid, you're main raid" or whatever. The major exceptions are bosses who need special attention from one of us... Attumen requires lots of decursing on my part. Moroes needs Humbah to shackle, so that's his clear priority. Maiden needs Bricco cleansing and for me to be throwing up HOTs like mad before retribution, etc. But I think it's time that we all did a little research of the healing styles and techniques available to the other healers and start strategizing. I think we'd have far fewer OOM issues, for example, if we weren't overhealing because we're all casting on whoever's health pops up low on our screen. I'll be spending some time in the next few days researching healing styles for the other classes. Please let me know if you have questions about druid healing abilities. We've done very well so far, and have really been balanced in the amount of healing we've all done, but I think we should also try to focus on ways to reduce overhealing so that we're preserving mana to keep the raid going even better. peace out! Sylly
I took the initiative of asking on the WOW forums for some feedback on our healing setup. Here are the threads if anyone is interested: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5282312226&sid=1 http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5282312227&sid=1

I haven't actually looked at those links, but I know there's a few mods out there that will show if someone is already being healed by another healer. I dont' know whether it requires that person to actually be targeted or not, that could be a problem with healbot. I'll do some looking.
Ok so when you posted on the Pali area. it was Pali on MT all the way
When you posted on the Druid area it was Druid.
And the Priest area.. ok you see the pattern. =P
I've been a raid healer in EverQuest, one of the first RPGMMOs and it was different yet the same in some respects. I dont have 10 man exp, because EQ raids were all 40 man.
gulp
And Verant (the makers) hated us players =P
These add-ons that they're talking about may make this irrelevant,
but the healers would make their own chat channel,
set their macros to have call-outs along with the /cast command with text using %T
IE: "Casting GH on McManager. Mantisa slaps McManager on the head ShaZam! you're healed!"
Also hotkeys set with macros for the MT's: MT1, MT2 etc for fast selection if you're not in the same raid group.
OK, so I haven't been in a raid group except that one time on the newbie field where some guy thought it'd be fun to raid near Darn when we where level 3! =P
I'll shut-up now.

lol shazam you're healed. good stuff.
Heh shazam, im liking that. Just be ready for more healz afterwards. Druids take consistent heals/hots because we dont have avoidance. Other than that I would say that x-perl unitframes comes with a feature to see your party's targets, as well as a feature to see all healers currently targeting you (assuming your a tank you can tell whos sitting down on the job; wheres my bandage naurah) and a list of dps targeting your target so that you know who the hell is trying to die by killing out of order.
Yeah, I'm a Lifebloom, HoT girl. Just some flash backs taking over.
Like:
"Mesmerizing a Hulking Gorilla. You break, you tank it!"
Or:
"Mind Wiping A Crushridge Orc. These are not the casters you're looking for."
Muhaha!
But EQ still hated their players. Give me Wow any day!
