Raiding Coordination for Huntsman Through Opera

Coordinating our raiding groups has been a huge task that our guild leader has graciously been taking care of us for. While I am of course glad that I haven't had to take care of it myself, I do not think that it is fair or justified to throw all of that on listra's shoulders, GM or not. If anybody officer or not wants to raid then they should be responsible and mature enough to accept that there are 9 other ppl relying on you to have done some research, got yourself gear, and downloaded any mods that might be applicable (I will say it again; OMEN OMEN OMEN). With that said I am the raid leader for our first group that we have set up regardless of our name and I am going to post what I think we've found are the most helpful criteria for completing the first four bosses with ease. While of course we are going to have to deviate a little every now and then (and we will) I think it wise that every raider look through these so that you all understand how and why we are making the call on whether to bring one person over the other. I don't want anybody's feelings hurt and that is why I want to let you know what's going on. Here we go. Basic group makeup has to be Two Tanks; Five Dps; and Three Healers. Healers and tanks have been of short supply although we are getting more and more so obviously that's not much of an issue as long as the people we rotate in are geared and listening. Where the issue has been so far is our five dps slots. Huntsman: Pretty much anybody will be relatively ok to rotate in at this point as long as they are geared and listening. I would say no more than two completely fresh raiders at a time just because there is a certain dps requiremetn for killing the trash within the timer. Moroes: Priests and Hunters are extremely helpful as the cc has been so far rather necessary. Dps needs to be slightly higher than for huntsmans because the adds do have to be burned down quick. Paladins Blessing of Protection is extremely useful also. I would say no more than one fresh raider per unless we have at least 3 cc or the adds are an easier group than usual. Maiden: Maiden imo gives us a huge amount of trouble unless we have a shaman with the grounding totem. We have done better on her than moroes recently, but I personally think that the totem/cleanser combination is our best bet for a consistent kill. Melee should not be more than 2 + tank; preferrably only one as the linking holy wrath could burn your tank too low right before repentance. Tank needs to be extremely well geared (Crit Immunity/ High amount of Avoidance) as repentance can leave you open to a very quick death. Assuming that we have the shaman/pally combo going as well as the strong tank then I think we could probably get through this with two new raiders although learning the strategy as far as spacing could be hairy. Opera: Ok well with Opera we really cant say what the best group is because we dont know what it is w/o a sacrificial lamb/hunter. So I would judge it based off of the event that seems to have the most strict criteria, Wizard of Oz. Thus we need at least one warlock for fear; at least one caster to spam fire spells to burnstun Roar; a tank to kite Tinman, and a tank for Dorothee and Tito. As long as we have those in our group and the new members understand the roles that they play and what order to kill in then I imagine that we could probably rotate in two new raiders on this one maybe three as we get higher. There we go. Now unless you are just the most ultimate DPS'er as in 5million DPS or higher plz understand that some things can be tweeked and pulled out of our ass by sheer determination and group dynamic; other's cant. Be willing to rotate in and out on the bosses as they come so that we can progress further in the raid.

Mc, I'd just add that as new healers come on, there are some healing requirements that won't change, either, particularly on Moroes and Maiden. On Moroes, Priests are priceless because of shackle. On Maiden it's been helpful to have a druid healer because in tree form Dru's are less likely to be silenced/stunned than other healers during repentance. Pallys are very helpful there to cleanse the holy fire.
Just my 2 cents on that.
