How about a thread to talk about our favorite addons?
I have Naurah to thank for turning me on to a site called curse.com . They have just about every wow addon I could think of, and they have a very nice client software that you can download and install so that when you then find an addon you want all you have to do is click on a button that says "install via curse client" and it installs the whole thing for you. No unzipping. No looking in your wow folders for your addon folder to cut and paste. It's great.
Addons I use are:
recount-a fantastic program that has meters for all kinds of stats. damage, healing, etc. You can also find out which abilities do the most damage for you, how much overkill or overhealing you have going on, etc. You can report the damage meters in raid, party, guild chat, which is always popular. Great add on over all.
Omen- an addon that keeps track of the aggro for everyone in your party or raid group that also has this addon. EXTREMELY helpful in terms of knowing when to back off so you don't have big bad boss barreling down on your clothie butt. lol
Auctioneer- tracks auctions and makes auctioning very easy, as you can automatically list your auctions at 5% below average so they sell quickly. In addition, whenever you mouse over any item that's been sold in the auction house recently you will get a readout of average buyout price and other nifty stats so you always have an idea of what things are worth. Groovy.
Healbot - fantastic little program that allows you to track the healing needs of everyone in your party or raid group and heal with very simple mouse clicks, etc. Love it. Bricco's a big fan, too.
Cartographer - sweet program that 1) fills in all the maps in the game for you; 2) gives you access to coordinates; 3) shows quest givers and items like herbs and ore on the zone maps. love this one, too.
Atlas loot - Allows you to look up every boss in the game and what their drops are, as well as percentage of frequency.
I'm also going to install lightheaded soon to try it out, and deadly boss, but I haven't used them personally yet so I can't really review them.
